United Crane & Rigging

United Crane & Rigging was established in 1968 as United Rental Equipment Company, specializing in operated and bare mobile crane rental in the Baltimore area. During the 1970's and 80's, United expanded its operations into the northeastern states and added large crawler cranes to its rental fleet.

In the 1990's, United Rental Equipment Company was sold to new owners. The arrival of new management with a bold corporate strategy had a significant impact. By the late 90's, the company began to experience dramatic growth with a rental fleet of almost 100 cranes and multiple sales/service locations.

In 1999, United Rental Equipment Company changed its name to United Crane and Rigging Company to better reflect the services offered by the company. Over the last fifteen years, United has added a line of tower cranes and hoists to its rental fleet and has become a dealer for Kobelco Crawler Cranes.

The company supports the crane and rigging industry as an active member of various industry related professional associations. United maintains a rigorous safety program and utilizes the latest computer aided lift planning technologies and engineering services to provide its customers with ideal solutions to their lifting needs.

United's operations continue to change to meet its customers changing needs, but the vision remains the same; to provide the customer with quality equipment and the finest service.
